There is still a beautiful life after a devastating experience. This statement is true based on the story of an adorable Pointer Cross named Percy. He used to live a distressing life when he was still in Cyprus.
Percy used to be a stray dog, roaming around the streets of Cyprus. Life continued to challenge him, and as if it was not enough that he was homeless, he also suffered from deteriorating kidneys. Since he also lives in the streets, he was also vulnerable to heartless humans. He was also shot by an unidentified person.
As a natural animal lover, it has been Amanda Bell’s passion to rescue animals. One time while she was walking in the streets of Cyprus, she saw the weak and fragile Percy. Seeing that he badly needs help, she immediately brought her to her pad and worked very hard to attend to his needs. She sought the help of her Dad, Michael, in feeding and taking care of Percy.
Amanda arranged for Percy to fly with her to the UK. It was a very big risk to take though since the poor dog was too fragile and only weighs nine kilos. Amanda knew she needs to do something to make sure she can help Percy recover.
According to Amanda, bringing Percy with her to the UK is one of the best decisions she had to make. She was able to feed the dog appropriately, gave him necessary medications, and allowed professional intervention through her vet friends. In no time, Percy has slowly regained a perfect state of health.
One day, Amanda decided to sign Percy up for a dog show. According to the judges of the competition, Percy’s positive disposition surely helped him gain the top spot and become the grand winner. Percy is now an epitome of a healthy, happy, and peaceful dog. His current situation is way different from his sad life in the past.
